There’s a Filter Paper for every Application

Borosil is very pleased with their Collaboration with the best and the oldest manufacturing company – Hahnemühle. Headquartered in Dassel, Germany, they are very strict with its quality control, stringent parameters, and paper specification and has earned the reputation of producing reproducible filtration results, thanks to the high batch-to-batch uniformity over decades.

With this Collaboration, we bring a wide range of high-quality filter media grades that allows technicians to follow the global parameters of analysis without any compromises whatsoever.

High purity qualitative filter papers

Made of super-refined cotton linters and cellulose, these have very low content of minerals – approx. 0.08% ash.

They come in the following filter media grades:

Grade B59501

This is highly used in the food industry for determining the overall fat content of food products, determining the unsaponifiable fraction in fats and oils, digestion of solids with aqua regia, sample preparation for analysis of beer, particle separation in juices or wine, qualitative analysis of milk and milk products or sample preparation in water analysis.

Grade B59702

This is recommended for medium-fine crystalline precipitates like determination of the coagulable proteins in beer, determination of the grade of fermentation in beer, determination of fat content of food, preparation of samples and removal of CO2 in the beverage industry and particle separation in juices or wine.

Grade B59303

This is ideally used for fine crystalline precipitates like soil analysis, identification of barium sulphate, tin sulphide or particle separation juices and wine.

Grade B60404

This is used for coarse crystalline precipitates like checking for sodium chloride or other chemicals in food, cleaning organic extracts and biological fluids, milk & milk product analysis, air pollution monitoring, particle separation in beverages.

Ashless Quantitative Filter Papers:

Ashless filter papers are free of minerals and metallic ions and are neutral making it perfect for quantitative analysis, routine gravimetric tests and sample preparation for instrumental analysis. They come in the following filter media grades.

Grade B58940

Perfect for crystalline precipitates. Helps in determination of sulphates, carbonates, organic materials, analysis of oil/fats in edible oil and fat, measurement of trace elements, nitrogen, free amino acids and K & P in soil and fertilizers, gravimetric analysis of meat and meat products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and animal feel, and measurement of non-metallic inorganic compounds in water analysis.

Grade B58941

Perfect for fast filtration for coarse and gelatinous precipitates like gravimetric analysis in sugar, milk and milk products, meat, animal feed and chemicals or total ash residue in samples, food & beverage analysis, Blaine test, determination of solids and turbidity in beer, measurement of trace elements in soil and fertilizers.

Grade B58942

This grade is perfect for very fine crystalline precipitates like analyses of oil/fats, measurement of chemical elements, radioactive trace elements in water, elements in soil & fertilizers, measurement of soluble sulphate in soil and fertilizers, gravimetric analysis of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, milk, meat and meat products.

Grade B58943

Perfect for food analysis, determination of proteins in wort and beer, analysis of alkaline earth carbonates and galvanic baths, Blaine test, beverage analysis, measurement of trace elements in soil and fertilizers and gravimetric analysis of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, milk, meat and meat products.

Grade B58944

This is made for fine crystalline precipitates like analysis of hot-felled precipitates, measurement of trace elements & K and P in soil and fertilizers and gravimetric analysis of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and animal feed.

Hardened ashless filter paper for quantitative analysis

This is recommended for vacuum and pressure filtration and acidic or alkaline solutions

These come in the following filter media grades.

Grade B15540

Used for fine crystalline precipitates like gravimetric determination of metals in acidic/alkaline solutions, quality control of chemicals or analysis in oil refinery.

Grade B15542

Perfect for very fine crystalline precipitates like gravimetric analyses of fine metals: barium and lead sulphate, nickel and tin sulphide, oxalate and calcium fluoride and analysis in oil refinery.

Glass fiber filters

Extremely low metal content & stable up to 500°C and we bring this in one grade.

BGF50A

This grade is perfect for water pollution analysis, biochemical issues like DNA, RNA, proteins and polysaccharides, determination of suspended particles, cleaning and buffering solutions and reagents for spectrophotometric measurements, measurement of nitrogen (gravimetrically) in emission analysis, and measurement of metals, inorganic lead in emission control analysis.
